Imagine No Malaria on April 25, May 12

World Malaria Day in April and Mother's Day in May in the United States will receive special attention from Imagine No Malaria, The United Methodist Church's initiative to raise $75 million towards ending preventable deaths from malaria in sub-Saharan Africa.

The denomination will join the United Nations in celebrating World Malaria Day on April 25. Find details at www.imaginenomalaria.org.

Children under 5 years old and pregnant women are the people most likely to die from malaria. Imagine No Malaria is urging supporters to honor their mothers on May 12 with gifts to the initiative to help women live to become mothers–and to see their infants and toddlers grow up.

The Mother's Day campaign is underway now via texted donations. Prayers and Mission Moments are posted at www.imgaginenomalaria.org for churches to use in the weeks before Mother's Day.

Additional details of the campaign will be posted in the coming weeks.
