Glossary of Terms: Term definition

Epworth
A small town in northeast Lincolnshire, England, that was the birthplace of John and Charles Wesley. Their father, Samuel Wesley, was the Church of England rector of the Epworth parish. The Wesley home, the Epworth rectory, still stands. Epworth is still commonly used as the name for a local United Methodist church.
