Glossary of Terms: Term definition

Lord's Prayer, the

The name generally given to the prayer found in Matthew 6:9-13 and, in shorter form, in Luke 11:2-4. It is widely used in services of worship and is an important part of the ritual for the Sacrament of the Lord's Supper.
