The United Methodist Church offers incredible ministries and services for youth, young people and their leaders. The challenge is identifying them. Information about those offerings is scattered among dozens of websites and offices across the globe.

With the launch of UMConnector.org, general agencies of The United Methodist Church are providing a single place to connect to the latest resources and tools for spiritual growth, faithful service and leadership formation.

Through a simple and engaging interface, UMConnector.org provides direct access to information about United Methodist collegiate ministry, discipleship resources, loans and scholarships, mission opportunities, higher education and much more.

For more than a year, leaders of young people's ministries from United Methodist Communications, the General Boards of Global Ministries and Higher Education and Ministry, United Methodist Women and The Upper Room have joined staff of Discipleship Ministries to coordinate ministries, create new opportunities and build strategic partnerships. All are to enhance holistic support for emerging leaders for the church and the world. As the leaders met, it quickly became apparent that access to resources has been an ongoing challenge. Creation of UMConnector.org, a single, easy-to-use website connecting all of the resources, then began.

"Our primary job as denominational leaders is to connect our members to all the resources of our church," says the Rev. Mike Ratliff, associate general secretary at Discipleship Ministries and leader of Young People's Ministries. "UMConnector.org is a step in that direction. The goal is for it to be the one landing place for all ministries related to young people."
