- One Great Hour of Sharing
A special Sunday authorized by the General Conference to be observed with an offering taken throughout the denomination on the fourth Sunday of Lent. One Great Hour of Sharing calls United Methodists to share the goodness of life with those in need throughout the world. The offering is to be used for a variety of relief programs. The observance of the Sunday is under the general direction of the United Methodist Communications. The funds are administered by the United Methodist Committee on Relief Department, General Board of Global Ministries.
