Late Life Adoption
A trip to a Russian orphanage changed George Wheeler's life, when he spotted a young girl named Yanna. "When I got home, I couldn’t get her out of my mind," recalls the Arizona retiree. He and his wife Willi sought advice from their pastor at Shepherd of the Hills United Methodist Church. Soon they were starting over as parents and tackling things like spelling and swimming lessons in their sixties.
